BarkaUK was invited by the Foundation of the Holy Barnaby for the conference summarizing the three-year project “Street work-new quality of work with the homeless”. The conference took place on June 11 in Czestochowa city.
During the conference, amongst those who had their speeches, were street workers, educators from Stationary Centre for Social Inclusion, Day Centre Support coordinator, advice worker, addictions specialist and representative of Barka UK, who told about the methods of work conducting by outreach teams working with homeless Poles in London.
The methods of work with socially excluded people have been presented as well as the successes, which were achieved by the project within three years of its existence.
The cooperation with BarkaUK was highly appreciated. Thanks to the internship undertaken by street workers from Czestochowa in BarkaUK, the methods of work were shifted from England to Polish ground and result as a great success.
