Barka and the Poznan Marathon 2011
Last Sunday Jerzy Tymczak and Ewa Sadowska of Barka completed the Poznan marathon, racing to collect funds for Barka Foundation in Poland. The event gathered over 6 thousand runners from all over the world and many thousands spectators. Nearly a 100 Barka Foundation’s Social Integration Centre staff and participants were present at the race with big posters to encourage runners and were in charge of 3 food points distributing water and isotonic drinks as well as playing music. Poznan marathon is the largest running event in Poland.
