“How architects responded after events in March 2011?”
In March 2011 there was a huge earthquake in eastern Japan followed by tsunami that affected the destruction of nearly 5 million homes, some of which had been washed away. Losses are estimated at 25 billion Japanese yen. Embassy of Japan is interested in a closer cooperation with Barka. Rebuilding communities on the East coast of Japan requires a huge amount of work and experience in reintegration of areas struck by crises and natural disasters. Japanese are very interested in Barka experiences in social market economy and they are preparing for a study visit in Barka Poland in May 2014.
