“Free movement of workers: Economic Effects and Individual Perception”.
On 22 of January 2013 three of Barka UK representatives took part in the seminar at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London – “Free movement of workers: Economic Effects and Individual Perception”.
The main speakers were prof. Christian Dustmann, Director of the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) and University College of London. He is one of the leading experts on migration worldwide, and he has published extensively in top economics journals on issues of migration and ethnicity, as well as performed research on the topic for several government bodies; and Anna Rosso, Research Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research and former Research Officer at CReAM.
This seminar presented some of the publications of the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration as well as Rockwool Foundation Research Unit; among them a recent report: “High emigration has led to better wages for many in Poland”.
